My father got an ancestral property existing in the name of my great grand father transferred and settled on his name in the year 1994. The land was mutated on my father's name and the circle officer issued reciepts of land revenue payments which we have been paying till date. We had been in peaceful possession of the property and got rents from the shops existed in the property. A year before in 2015, when we were in the process of reconstructing some old shops, some people came and stopped the work saying this property had been given to them by our forefathers way back in 1925 and produced a handwritten plain paper (Patta) on which no signature of the person writing the document existed. I lodged an FIR against them for 'Rangdari' and asking for money. They went to the SDO court for asking for sec 144 on the land but it was duly rejected after enquiry from the local P.S and the Circle officer. Now they have gone to the court in Title suit. As I am confirmed that the document is a 100% forged document with many flaws - can I go for case of Sec 467 on them? Will I have to go to the court or file an FIR for forgery? Is their any legal validity of any such documents which they are carrying?
