I want opinion on this
My friend tried in a criminal case u/s 420, 406 and sec 4 5 6 of chit fund act and was given 1 yr imprisonment on 07-02-2014 by lower court against which Govt Lawyer appealed in session court on 01-07-2014 u/s 5 of limitation act citing the reason that he got late sanction to appeal against the order (read 25-06-2014). I would like to know if such delay is permissible or not, can he challenge it because they filled appeal after 90 days. Kindly advice
