Ancestral property

what are the daughter right in ancestral property if father died before 1956.
hindu succession act 1956 is prospective or retrospective

section 8 of HSA 1956 is prospective .if father died after 1956 then only daughter became class 1 heir.

hindu succession  1956 act applicable  even if father died before 1956 ?(section 6 is retrospective)

what does it mean    daughter by birth became co parcener  if father died before 1956 still she get share or not in her father  ancestral property
