Agreement without consideration

does agreement without consideration (one sided) are void ??

Quick Summary
This discussion delves into the legal validity of agreements made without consideration, often referred to as one-sided agreements. It questions whether such arrangements, like gift deeds, are inherently void based on the definition of an agreement requiring consideration for both parties. The core of the debate revolves around the interpretation of 'consideration for each other' within contract law.

sec 2 (e) - Every promise and every set of promises, forming the consideration for each other, is an agreement;

in this defination  the word ' consideration for each other ' means consideration for both contractual parties ???
