Adopted child legal property rights

The father has died. the mother with the adopted minor child partioned the ancestral property for both and also take full authority of the father's property. The other partioned ancestral property was given to the grand parents. The question is can the grand parents have their own will? Can the adopted child came again for property after becoming major?

Once the partition is reduced in writing and affected, it is deemed that there was partition and the property is the individual property of that co-sharer which can be dealt with as though it was self-acquired property of co-sharer.  Once the property is divided the ancestral property claim gets diluted.
