Ad patta land (panjami land)

Hello Learned Members,

One of my client is planning to buy a agri land of 2.2 acres in western Tamilnadu. On verifying the records he found that this land is a AD condition patta (Panjami) land. My client belongs to Adiravida caste but because he had converted to Christianity, he has Christian Adidravida in his community certificate with BC status.

The question is that is he entitled to buy this piece of land without any issues in the future?

If at all there is any litigation in the future can he get out of the litigation by showing his community certificate as Adidravida Caste?

Thank you

Quick Summary
A client belonging to the Adidravida community, who has converted to Christianity, is looking to purchase 2.2 acres of agricultural land in Tamil Nadu classified as 'Ad condition patta' (Panjami land). The core question is whether his conversion and BC status affect his eligibility to buy this specific type of land. The advice suggests that as he fundamentally belongs to the Adidravida community, he should be eligible to purchase Panjami land, provided any sale conditions have expired, and local Tamil Nadu laws are adhered to.

Even though he had converted to Christianity, he basically belongs to AD community hence he can very well buy the panjami land provided the it is beyond the period of conditions for sale.

Local (Tamil Nadu) laws apply to subject matter.
