How a judge should be ?

Recently when I was in a Court room for arguing my client’s case some other case was being heard by the Judge. The main objection in that case was that revision preferred by the party was not maintainable as there was a provision for an appeal. Certainly the case was liable to be dismissed and it was dismissed also. But look to the innovative idea and creative and positive attitude of the judge. While dismissing the revision he gave direction to the party concerned to move an application to the trial court and it was directed to the trial court that after filing of application by the party before it, it will decide the said application afresh. This happened because the judge approached the case with realistic way and not with an ivory approach.

This is how the real justice was done in an old pending case. We wish our judges should have a positive approach and not just a feeling less, technical and formal way of deciding cases coming before them for hearing. There should also be no ivory approach to the cases. Most of the judges do it in right way but why all should not have realistic and pragmatic outlook in deciding cases. The other quality of a good judge is right perception. When a judge has clear cut perception he will prove to be more successful judge. In addition what is required is they should sit on Board with pleasant and delightful manner keeping themselves un engrossed, contented and indifferent.
