Insurance agent in private insurance company

The government servant can join with a private insurance company as agent, there is no restriction.

There are certain restrictions on senior employees taking up employment. Pleae post the complete facts that meaningful suggestion could be given.

A serving employees cannot accept such assignment at all. [refer rule 15(1) of ccs(conduct)rules]

(similar provision exists in state govt/ PSU etc)

A retired empoloyee  needs permission only if :-

(i) He was Gp-A officer; and

(ii) retirement is less than one year old

in other cases no permission is needed.
