What are the provisions regarding advertisement by an advocate. And what are the provisions regarding a web site launched by an advocate ? Which precautions regarding the words used in web site to be taken in launching web site ?

There is no provision for an advertising either by way of on going modes of advertisement or through web site as per Advocates Act, 1961. However, some advocates are engaged in advertising themselves against rules and there is no parameter of illegality.

What is the definition of Advertisement of Profession spelt out in the Advocate's Act? Is free legal aid is offered through website and popularity gained through leading internet forums like LCI come under the ambit of Advertisement? Experts to clarify on legal perspective.

No, there is no provision to Advertisement by an Advocate in Advocate Act or other.

I have not yet find anything special to add with respect to your post. Most of the legal practitioners, even of SC, are having websites. Some of them, even has given the fees/rates also!
