Swathi S Bhat (Expert) 24 December 2010
Sir,
At this juncture, her family members can't do anything i.e., relating to the property matters. After her demise, they have to get family survival certificate and death certificate and they can change the katha of the properties into their name jointly or katha can also be transfered to the name of single person if he/she gets no objection from the rest of them. In some government department/banks,in case of any deposits, they may expect P&Sc. certificate also.
SANJAY GUPTA (Expert) 24 December 2010
yes, in event of death of your friend the family members require heirship certificate after from the court to claim his moveable or immoveable properties.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 24 December 2010
Yes his properties would be equally divided amongst his legal heirs.
