sir,
I am going to start a consultancy office in UP, Bihar for distance education, foreign education and others. I wanna know whether I will have to register?
What type of registration required Like service tax registration, shop act etc, What is the full and complete procedure?

You want to do social service or paid consultancy?
I presume it would be a business and commercial, for which you have to seek professional paid service of a local lawyer.

What type of consultancy, Have you been authorized by any institution / university?what is ? Discuss with the local lawyer.

if your activity is paid consultancy, you need to be registered for service tax depending upon the limit. it differs from state to state. if it is social service, it is better to get registered under Societies registration act, 1860 with the local registrar depending upon your principal place of business
