hi,i am doing btech 1st year.so,now i got intrest to becom a layer in hyderabad so what is the procedure for that to become alayer
Parthasarathi Loganathan (Expert) 31 October 2010
You need to first decide about your career as to which profession to choose from. You can never sail in two boats simultaneously. If you have passion to become a lawyer, since your first year study must be hardly two months old now, you can very well quit B.Tech and prepare for LAWCET examination and seek admission in any reputed college in Andhra Pradesh

What is layer
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 01 November 2010
Dear Bharath,
If you are already doing B.Tech., please complete the degree. Thereafter join LLB. For doing llb one should have a minimum 3 year degree course. Your B.Tech will come in handi.
Further, B.Tech + Law will be of immense potential in IPR field. My suggestion would be "Do not ditch one for the other."
Parthasarathi Loganathan (Expert) 01 November 2010
One need not have a special qualification like B.Tech (four years professional study) to be successful in the IPR domain. Mr.Bharat should focuss on a single profession either as a technocrat or a lawyer. Else, there would even be restrictions imposed by BCI even to get himself enrolled as an Advocate at a latter stage. The same music I am facing today for a faulty decision taken 25 years back. I can neither quit my bank job now (having groomed and developed my career in the bank for the sake of employment and reached a coveted position) nor take up even part time law practice due to strict Regulations imposed in Advocates' Act and Bar Council of India. I am sharing only by practical experience and decision is solely left to the author.
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 01 November 2010
Dear Mr. Partha,
Mr. Bharath does not have any 3 year degree as of now. If he has to get into 5 year law course, he has to sit for the entrance exam - when he will be sitting and what would be the outcome one has to wait and see. In the meanwhile, he will be neither here nor there. All that I suggested was that if he is already in B.Tech and interested in Law he can pursue law course after completing B.Tech. I only said that doing B.Tech will not be a waste in his case, since it will help him immensely in case he wants to concentrate on IPR area. [For IPR science background is a must.]
Please do not compare your case with others. You are in a complete dialemma - you do not want to leave the bank job. Otherwise, I am damn sure with your vast legal knowledge, you will be a flourishing Lawyer. I am also sure, that once you retire from bank, yes, your dream of practising as a lawyer will surely get fulfilled.

Why did you join Engg.at first instance.hink twice, the profession of lawyer is not that easy. You may have work hard for many years and settling in the profession require lot of guts and family support.
However there are many law colleges in AP,collect all your original certificates and come to Hyderabad and call 9030843906. I will get you admission in some law college.Best of luck.

I agree with Mr.Sreenivasa Rao.

yes

Mr. Ramachandran must be aware of the fact that B.Tech study cannot be equated to any BA or BSc degrees. You need to put up lot of hours at college to gain a quality BTech degree. Once you get into the groom of a technocrat there are hardly few professionals who are proficient enough to manage both the professions successfully. Yes, background of Science for IPR is an added advantage. But B.Tech. is a different cup of tea.

In my case I am absolutely straight in my focus on the multifaceted tasks I handle effectively to the best of my ability to my own optimum job satisfaction without any sort of dilemma or burden. There cannot be any comparison at all. Yes, I need to wait for another 15 years for my retirement, but that is too long a period to wait.

As a cricketer, once you have played all forms of the game with distinction, it is upto the player to decide or choose a single form of the game, whether Test Cricket or ODI or T-20 which many greats have ultimately hanged their boots at some point of their careers. In the same fashion, as long as I feel good enough to discharge my duties efficiently as a Manager, IT Professional, ISO Expert, legal advisor, cricket umpire, web-journalist, Meditation teacher, Research scholar in Music, Environmentalist, etc I will continue to do so to the best of my ability. It is as simple as that.

I agree with Mr.Partha.
But, my advice is to first finish his B.Tech and then to finish Law.
Mr.Barath,
It is for ur information, I am graduated both in Engg and Law, I can do handle both the fields effectively.

For joining a law course, you should have a TC. As you are already doing a course, you can not produce the TC. So, it is not possible to join the law course at present. Either you have discontinue your current course and wait till completion of the course, for getting the TC.

Any how I appreciate your interest for becoming a lawyer (not layer)

But definitely not a LIAR.
