Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 14 June 2022 This query is : Resolved
My question is even after getting my Advocate licence. I do not want to practice in court and I just want to work in a MNC company in Accounts and Finance field. So, is it possible if I can do job or tyere is restriction that after getting advocacy licence one can not do job?

After enrolled as advocate in bar, you can't do job. Even at the application form of Bar, you have to declared that you have not engaged in job.

Under Rule 49 of the Bar Council of India Rules Part VI, Chapter II) an advocate shall not be a full-time employee of any person, Government, firm, corporation or concern and on taking up such employment, shall intimate such fact to the Bar Council concerned and shall cease to practise as long as he is in such employment.

Simply do away with Advocacy by intimating your Bar and regional bar council and concentrate on your goal. Do what you like doing. It will give you satisfaction, both monetary and mentally.

Opt for either a job or join profession as you can have either of them.
Go through Advocates Act, 1961.
