Contact the society. If there is provision in its bylaws the society Management could efffect the change. But it differs from state ot state.

If the name of your father correctly spelled in the original document, then the share certificate will be corrected. Otherwise your father has to give Notarised Affidavit regarding the mistake in your father's name. The housing society do not help you, apply to the Registrar of Cooperative Housing Societies of your District.

Did you apply to the Managing Committee for rectification of name of your father in his share certificate issued by the Society?
What is the error of spelling in the name of your father in share certificate issued by society?

1. Execute a proper "Indemnity Bond" detailing all the events and supported with the PAN & Aadhar cards, Election Card, ITR returns and all other relevant documents showing the correct name.

2. Annexing the above, file proper application to the Society Secretary to make the rectifications on the Society records and registers and on the share certificate.

3. IF the Society ignores or refuses, THEN file a grievous petition before the local Consumer Court, citing harassment & deficiency & negligence.
