Husband own signature on wife cheque

husband and wife have account in same bank Both cheque books husband as well as wife neither carries account number nor name on leaf Mistakenly husband puts his own signature on leaf belonging to wife account which is misused by someone to blackmail husband . Is it forgery to put ones own signature ones wife cheque

By the way, what is the relation of this anonymous person with the wife, husband, drawee or the blackmailer of the husband in this case?

Absolutely absurd facts mentioned here. The cheque leaf even if doesn't mention name of the account holder, by all means it has mention of the account number. To say the cheque leaf did not carry neither account number nor name is absolutely wrong information supplied here.
Do you think experts here know nothing by about banking and you will before them with such stories.

In fact the querist has posted an academic query of olden years backing about 30-40 years, when at some rare occasion banks used to deliver cheque books without stamping account number in the cheque books..
