An ancestral property is in litigation. Hiers of original owners has filed case to revise the distribution of land (in view of new highway approach).
Can my father and uncles sell this property?

No, during pendency of the court case no change in the title of the property by way of selling or transfer should be done.
If there exists any doubt in mind that the transfer of the property in dispute may be done by the holders of the property, injunction order may be obtained from the court which is hearing the civil suit.

No during the pendency of suit the property cannot be depart without court permit. This cannot be sale as it come under the doctrine of Lis pende under the Indian Property Act
