Regarding power of attorney

(Querist) 04 June 2018 This query is : Resolved
I gave a power of attorney ( suppose to Person A) giving him all rights to sell my property and also do anything that he desires in it .can he give another power of attorney to someone else stating the rights he has on my power of attorney?
And for how many years that power of attorney is valid as per the law of India ?

POA can not transfer the powers to a Third person.
Guest (Expert) 04 June 2018
Depends upon the language of the contents of the POA.

POA given to sell the property has no specific date on it ..does it mean it will remain for a life time ? can i revoke such power of attorney anytime ? do I have to send him notice in writing that the power of attorney is being revoked and does not need his interference anymore? does that POA remain valid after my death or will it get automatically revoked?
Guest (Expert) 04 June 2018
If the POA is registered it has to be cancelled at Registrar Office.
Guest (Expert) 04 June 2018
If it is Un Registered POA your intimation to the concerned person in whose favor it was executed would suffice and an News Paper Advt regarding the same would legally strengthen.it.

No POA would be legally valid on demise of the Executor or the Person in whose favor it was Executed.
