1. I am a defendant in a civil case regarding property of my father. 2. The petitioner is my sister, who took out a chamber summons, which had several prayers. Somehow my advocate was absent and the judge allowed her two prayers and disposed the chamber summons. 3. Earlier, the Registrar and Prothonotary passed and order that I should file a Written Statement (WS) within four weeks of the chamber summons being disposed off. So should I consider that I should file my WS, as the judge has 'disposed' of the chamber summons - albeit with part reliefs only. 4. Thanks in advance.

What is the advice of your lawyer? It appears that the litigation is in the Bombay High Court (OS) and hence the property is of considerable value. You require the services of an advocate who is really professional.
