Is it compulsory to register a rent agreement for a commercial property, where the tenancy period is 3 years?
if yes, what are the formalities required?

Lease deeds with immovable property shall be registerable. a lease deed shall be drafted by the DW or any Advocate having knowledge in drafting the documents. Lessee and lessor shall in indenture form may executed a lease deed mentioning the period of lease and rent (monthly/yearly) for the property. the stamp duties are vary from one State to another State.
