Sir i have a case under ipc 509 ..can settlement be exoneration ...or honourable acquittal.

1. Exoneration by Settlement, is possible, subject to various parameters and the discretion of the Court and the Complainant party. In recent times, the Mumbai High Court has ordered the same, in lieu of "public service".

2. Honorable Acquittal by "Settlement", is not possible AND further in a Criminal case "honorable acquittal" is a philosophy, without any meaning.
