Owner says agreement done for rent on 200 rs stamp paper so

owner has told me -that if we do agreement on 200 rs.stamp paper then it is not madatory to do notary.
i have given him 1 lakh deposit-so i am worried-
is he right?
without notary the agreement done for 11 months period will be valid

If the fact of payment of Rs. 1,00,000/- mentioned in the agreement. Whether payment was effected through Banking channel? Has the agreement been witnessed?

If all the terms are mentioned in agreement, it is valid even if it is not notarized.

I mean you say Karnataka laws will apply & it may be different from other states laws ? Can you kindly name the law or sections for the same
