I have been acquitted in a cheating and theft case . one year ago when the FIR was registered many newspapers published news which was false and defamatory as well , even things which were not even in FIR , now when i apply a job , the new company checks the google search , which shows my name on top , which is causing problems for me . how can i get these news removed from internet and also what is time limit for defamation after acquital , for putting a case against newspaper and other people .

News papers report carefully in such cases. They quote the source.

Sudhir Kumar , Sir after your comment i again opened the news article , it is written like , "he said that he noticed the cheating or ABC said he was cheating ". So the source is the complainant itself ? Defamation should be put on complainant ? and how much time i have after acquital ? will these articles be taken down from internet after this ?
