got adverse report for my passport application

(Querist) 08 December 2016 This query is : Resolved
Hi Sir, Myself Rama and i have applied for my passport in Vijayawada. I was born in vijayawada and had my studies there itself.Currently i am working with capgemini hyderbad but we do have work from home facility so while applying i have given both my permanent & current address as vijayawada and employement type as private employee. So when police comes for verification i told him the same and gave 2letters from capgemini that im working for them from past 2yrs. Now i got an SMS saying that adverse report has been filed because im staying in hyderabad from 2014. This i should go to visakhapatanam RPO and need to give the explanation it seems. So please let me know what explanation i should give it to RPO visakhapatnam and how much they might charge as penalty. Much appreciated your help in this matter.

Rama charging penalty is RPO his discretionary power.
As u ahd born in Vwada u need to focus on it only also your documents from vwada will help you to resolve ur problem.

Will u appreciate this answer by giving like on my LCI profile?

Take certificate from employer that you are working from Vijayavada and not staying at Hydrabad. Submit the letter and prey for police verification again.

Though I'm working from home I.e Vijayawada but my employer certificate shows the Hyderabad address because when ever I have some important meeting I need to report to hyd office only

Please refer to Passport Rules in detail first. These are available online on passport office site.

You can very well explain to the RPO that you have been working from Home and, prima facie, the Police report is wrong.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 10 December 2016
Be clear in your statement to RPO, you are employed and working from home. Not staying at Banglore. any if or but may spoil case.
