noc to join other job

(Querist) 02 December 2016 This query is : Resolved
I was working as Po in oriental bank of commerce.Recently I resigned from the bank to join a job in central govt department.
Bank accept my resignation but didn't issue a noc .the written test for central govt job had taken before my joining the bank and interview was held when I had just join the bank and it was training,so it was not possible to get Noc for interview in just a short time, but I intimate the authority through a letter and they verbally grant me the permission.now I have to join that central govt job but bank did not issue....I am just stuck ,I am very sad becoz I don't do any mistake...my future is now at stake..pls give some advice what cn I do

Whether central govt. has asked NOC?

Have you informed the Central Government regarding your job when applying?
(seems not possible as you were not in service at the time of applying, please confirm)

Have you received relieving letter from OBC?

Have you applied for NOC for interview?

"interview was held when I had just join..............but I intimate the authority through a letter and they verbally grant me the permission"

What is objection of the bank per its rules?

You have informed the Bank through letter, if you have acknowledgement your part is over.

If Bank has not denied in reasonable time, it is deemed they have no objection.

On what grounds they have denied?

Generally, no such NOC is sought. Is this mentioned in the appointment letter? If not, it sufficient that you resign the current job before taking up the Government job.

You have posted that:

"Bank accept my resignation'

Write to bank/appointing authority for everything that you require.

I have already written everything I require but they said that they have not any provision regarding noc becoz relieving letter is equivalent to Noc ....I explain you all in detail....I have joined bank on 15 June and my interview is on 27 june...I give a letter to the GM there and verbally get the permission...it is all ok there.result comes in September and I got job in cag. In November 2015 attestation forms from cag office dispatched and I mention there that I am doin job in bank.when the final offer letter comes in Sept 2016 they want me to submit Noc as well as relieving letter but I have applied resignation on the basis of personal reasons ..so I again write a letter to bank regarding Noc but they accepted resignation in Nov 2016 and refuse to issue me Noc and said that you are free to job anywhere as you get relieved but they did not give Noc .now I want to say that my bank job has nothing to do with cag job becoz I am taking not any benefit from it...then why cag office is still stick to Noc ,they did not accept relive letter...I do not know what to do

Submit copy of letter with diary no. you submitted for interview and confirmation that the permission was given on phone. You can request your department again to provide you NOC letter for interview post-facto. Attach copy of this letter also.

Since relieving letter issued, Bank should not object in giving NOC.

You can personally meet your Assistant General Manager / Deputy General Manager for the purpose.

May take help of Supervising Staff Association.

"I give a letter to the GM there and verbally get the permission............becoz relieving letter is equivalent to Noc......................that you are free to job anywhere....I am taking not any benefit from it...................."

It is just a matter of interpretation and wording in letter issued by Bank and required by you and for CAG.

The senior officials can help you.

Does the appointment letter specify that you should produce NOC at the time of joining?
