Heirship certificate

i live in a cooperative society and own a flat which is in the name of my late wife and me. we had nominated our son. after death of my wife my son was taken as a nominee member who is just a trustee.now i want my son to be taken in as a joint owner
i have written a letter to the society asking them about documents required to make my son a joint owner. the society is not accepting my letter only verbally says get a heirship certificate from court.what should i do ?

You should move an application to local Tehsildar and obtain the desired certificate as the requirement of the society is genuine and legal.

sir,

my society refuses to put anything in black and white. i do not have any proof of corresponding with the society. is that alright on the society's part ? other societies guide their members in writing which at a later date can be proved in the court if there is a dispute.

Go thru Society Bye laws framed in accordance with Model Bye Laws.

Act in accordance with applicable bye laws.

The death certificate, legal heir certificate are basic requirements.
