the last known address is required to be mentioned on the registered notice. If sender has proof that he sent the notice under registration then the same shall be regarded as due notice if the post has not returned back unserved.

No restriction in using any of the two addresses. Both, the business or home address are valid in the case of a proprietory firm.

Your original query was, "what is the right address to be mentioned in notice and post, the office address or the home address of the proprietary."

Now you have put another question, "If the notice is lost by post office then does it mean that notice has been served."

While appropriate advice has already been provided to you on your main question, the present question has no relevance with the main questin.

THE INSTANCE CLEARLY PROVES THAT YOU ARE TRYING TO FIND SOLUTION TO AN ACADEMIC QUERY ONLY, NOT A SOLUTION FOR ANY PROBLEM.

However, if there is any truth in your story, please clarify the following points:

1) In what way you are own concern with the problem?

2) What was the date of posting of notice?

3) What was the base for reply by the post office "post is lost"?

4) On what date the enquiry was made to the post office and whether verbally or in writing?

5) On what date the post office replied on the on enquiry from the post office?

6) Whether the addressee was lcal or in some other city (with names of cities of posting and delivery offices)?

7) Whether the case has already been filed in the court of law or not? If yes, on what date the case was filed?

The return memo was not received by the post then i write a letter to post master after 20 days i posted the notice then he replied that ur post is lost. The address was local . the case is filled in the court. So i want know if the post is lost does it mean that the notice has been served or i have lost the case
