In Karnataka Inam tenure has been abolished more than half a century back. It could be that previous holder had taken the necessary measures get the land registered under ryotwari. However, that does not empower the authorities to interfere with private property except through due process of law.

The moot question is whether the authorities have abided by the due process of law. The query does not provide material information on this aspect.
