Undue calls disturbing me

(Querist) 24 September 2015 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir/Madam,
As I have received about 15 calls from different numbers[from different H.R. recruitment agency(may all be working for same position/company)] for the same vacancy, same company(A BPO company) and same job location.
Every time I refused/showed disinterest due to office timing(6.00 PM to 3.00 AM.)AND unsuitable location.

Calls are still in process.

How an agent or a company itself or through hired H.R.recruitment agency can puzzle me by making undue so many calls,as each time I have to attend the same, even while working, eating, travelling etc.

Is there any legal safeguard or action against such a case, please let me know.
I shall be thankful to you.

Regards

If your phone rings incessantly during the dinner hour with offers of "free" cruises or low-interest credit cards, consider adding your number to the National Do Not Call Registry: It's free, and it will dramatically cut the number of marketing calls you receive.

The registry was created in 2003 to block personal numbers from most telemarketing calls.

Here's how it works:

Only personal phone numbers can be registered – not business lines.

If you are registering online, be sure to provide a real email address. You'll have to confirm the registration within 72 hours through a link sent to that email address.

Telemarketers are required to remove registered numbers from their calling databases. They do have up to 31 days to remove numbers, however, so you might still get calls for a while.

Note: The registry does not affect calls from charities, political organizations, surveys and companies that you have shared your contact information with. They can continue to call you.

Your registration will not expire. However, if you change calling plans with your phone company, or the billing name on the account changes, that could take you off the list.

If an unauthorized telemarketer calls you 31 days after you've registered, you can file a complaint.

Finally, be wary of companies that pretend to represent the Do Not Call Registry and offer to add your name to the list for a fee. The registry is free for consumers.

Probably the databank from agencies including recruitment agencies is sold/circulated/copies etc...........

One of the ways is have an email id for recruiters and not to mention personal phone numbers.

Let anyone send any email first and if there is anything......................phone number can be given later.

You can gently ask any caller to not to call again between time.................and rather send email or letter by registered post.

Block the nos. from your mobile.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate Online (Expert) 24 September 2015
when the calls come from different Nos then you cannot block all numbers as you do not know which No will be used to disturb you next time.

please observe whether they are offering salary beyond your markt worth?

please observe whether they are offering job abroad?
