(Querist) 28 May 2015 This query is : Resolved
Is notarised agteement valid in the court of law?

Notarised agreeement made as one party is husband and wife and another is owner . The possession is not given by owner even after taking deposit and one month rental in advance . Subsequently can only wife can issue one month notice as per notarised agreement to owner to cancel the agreement as husband is out of country and take a deposit back. Is such a notarised agreement valid in the court of law.

1. Any Agreement which pertains to "immovable property" MUST be compulsorily Stamp Duty paid and Registered (atleast in Maharashtra). Any other agreement is null & void, in a court of law.
