I am a landlord and the case is that the tenant dies leaving behind his married daughter as his only heir and is now claiming tenancy rights....i have stated that as soon as her father died the tenancy came to an end and she cannot claim tenancy rights as she is married....the property is out of the purview of rent control act....as far as i know married daughter cannot claim tenancy rights if you have any case law please provide the details

MARRIED OR UNMARRIED IS IRRELEVANT. NO DIFF.

Most important Law Point is: Whether she have suitable alternate residence or not??
If yes, she hv to vacate
If No: She have right to reside in her father's residence, as your tenant.

Sir in my case it is a shop....i guess aforesaid grounds also applicable to shop....
