Marriage registration

(Querist) 09 October 2014 This query is : Resolved 
An Indian hindu boy got married to french lady.The marriage was solemnised in France at church.certificate of marriage was issued to them.now both of them are in India.Do they need to register their marriage in India also.If yes what is the procedure?

Although prima facie it is an academic query yet the marriage registeration is ONCE only, whether in France or India.
