Completion certificate and occupation certificate

Are both Completion Certificate and Occupation Certificate required in Nasik or is Completion Certificate itself sufficient for the Builder to hand over the possession of the flats to the Purchasers

At the time of taking of possession it is better to take delivery of possession certificate.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
When a certain construction project is completed fulfilling the terms, conditions, and specifications of the job contract, an authorized architect and/or an engineer certifies this using this document

Certificate of Occupancy
A document issued by a local building or Zoning authority to the owner of premises attesting that the premises have been built and maintained according to the provisions of building or zoning ordinances, such as those that govern the number of fire exits or the safety of electrical wiring.

Completion-cum-Occupancy Certificate : No person shall occupy or allow any other person to occupy any building or part of a building for any purpose until such building or part has been granted the occupancy certificate. Every owner/ lessee is required to submit a notice of Completion cum Occupancy Certificate of the building in the prescribed form and such notices shall be submitted in the proforma along with the requisite documents, fee and charges mentioned therein.

Provisional Occupancy Certificate and Completion Certificate for Co-operative Group Housing Societies, Govt departments, Govt. Institutions, Charitable Trusts and Wakf Board: No person shall occupy or allow any other person to occupy any building or part of a building for any purpose until such building or part has been granted the provisional occupancy certificate. Every owner/ lessee is required to submit a notice of Provisional Occupancy Certificate and Completion Certificate of the building in the prescribed form and such notices shall be submitted in the proforma along with the requisite documents, fee and charges mentioned therein.
