Respected Expert,
In the locality where surrounding residents are Sr.Citizens,there is a gentleman who has in the house(no setback etc. flouted municipal laws) in a adjacent room installed a deity/murti of a God around 4 feet. Now he wants to conduct a jatra/mela every year.He puts pendal 3-4 days before on the road and serves food, bhajans with loudspeakers,beating of dhol etc on the road from 5.30am to up to 11pm. we all neighbors have given objections in writing to appropriate authorities.He wants to conduct every year.Its headache.The no of days may go on increasing. To install idol he has no permission from local body.This room has seperate entrance/door in the same building.He says its my family god infact its not so.He says its social service.
to stop what is the remedy? else it will set a precedence,increasing no. days.He has started publicising in paper by giving news item.

where religious idols are concerned even municipal authorities dont remove the encroachment . let all residents complain to municipal corporation regarding encroachment made by the neighbor / if no reply received within one month file RTI application as to action taken on your complaint .
if corporation refuses to take action move courts to direct corporation to demolish encroachment

As that person has made construction within the boundaries of his house, so municipality can do nothing and as such the advice of Ajay shall not work.
You all are suffers of public nuisance of sound, exertion, pollution etc. so best course of action on your part can be to move an application before the local SDM under section 133 of criminal procedure code and seek complete restriction over any type of pollution therefrom.
