Shipping academy

Hi, I wanted to ask that I wanted to enroll my brother in an academy known as Nimbus Maritime Academy in Belapur CBD. I am supposed to pay a hefty amount for admission there and I have made the payment trough cheque. I wanted to know what all measures can I take if they dont fulfill their promises of a job etc.

You shall go through their brochure and then should execute an agreement, the copy of which duly signed by them shall also remain with you only then you can get the terms executed before the court of law.

have they made any promise in writing that job will be given on completion of course? mere verbal promise is not sufficent

You have not mentioned what is the promise they have made about providing a job.

Lot of such Institutes promise 'a job' which they provide after passing out but those jobs are not what was expected.

However, if it is marine engineering course then there is still demand in the market but no body knows what will be the position after he passes out.

Until and unless a written agreement is made, oral promises have no value in the eyes of law and thus has no legal claim.
