how much amount of stamp paper is applicable in maharashtra (mumbai) for sale deed,POA,affidavit and leave and license, let me know from where i get the list of stamp paper required for making particular document.

stamp duty is dependent upon size area locality type of property known as market value etc.
On power of attorney for sale it is on 500 rs. amongst selective family members and others it is on market value.
for other purposes it is 100 rupees per person of recipient of power.

but for self understanding without engage any lawyer from where i got the list of stamp paper required for making the particular document.and is there any restriction to use the Rs.50/- stamp paper for making leave and license agreement or sale agreement paper someone say its rule from year 2004. is right pls clear whole query.........thanks in advance.

Minimum Stamp Duty applicable in Maharashtra is of Rs.100/-.
You may purchase a Readyreckoner for knowing the applicable stamp duties for different documents.

STAMP PAPER ON SALE DEED: applicable in Maharashtra (Mumbai)for Residential Market / consideration value whichever is more.
1. Upto 2,50,000/- - Rs. 100/-
2. 2,50,001 to 5, 00,000--- Rs. 100+3% above 2,50,000/-
3. 5,00,001 to any amt Rs. 7600+5% above 5,00,000/-
Say 1 cr = 4,82,600/-
Commercial Fat 5% of mkt/ consideration value whichever is more.
POA: For consideration as on sale deed. Above.
Others: Relatives: Rs. 500/- All others Rs. 100/-
Affidavits Rs. 100/-
Except to produce before Court or govt authority immediately: Free No stamp paper .
LEAVE & LICENSE: Depends on City/ Location/ Period / Security Deposit etc:
Eg 2,50,000[ rent + deposit 12 months ] 600/-
Eg 5,00,000[ rent + deposit 12 months ] 1200/-
5-20L 2000/-
above 20L-> 5000/-
For commercial Twice the chg above.
Second class municipals: Thane , pune etc Rs. 500/-, 1000, 2000, respectively+ twice on comm..
Othe area 300, 600, 1000, respectively+ twice on comm..
