IF YOUR EMPLOYER IS A COMPANY WITHIN THE MEANING OF COMPANIES ACT BASIC PAY CANNOT BE REDUCED.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 09 October 2011
Even if basic pay is reduced and even PF deduction is proportionately reduced accordingly even then it is not a bar under EPF & MP Act, 1952.

Can you site the relevant provision of ibid act which prohibits so?
