Property right after 12 years

Dear Sir, My grandfathers brother given his house to my grandfather and my father to stay in. That happened 35 years back. It is known to all including his entire family. He (grandfather's brother) is having two son and two daughter. he and his wife is no more. when it was given it was very old house with two rooms only. 3 years back in 2008,i.e., after 32 years of staying the old house demolished and a new house constructed, after taking concent from his wife and yonger son. Presently his wife is no more. Now his elder son is claiming that he need that house. What needs to be done

As the old house ws given just for residential purpose without fixing any limit so if legal heirs of brother of your grand-father require their land, they are legally entitled for that. You obtained consent of only one son and ignore another so he might have felt it seriously. It is a matter of family so pacify him with some money and get permanent solution by writing a family settlement and obtain signature of all legal heirs of brother of your deceased grand-father and get it duly registered.
