resident or non resident of a society

A have been staying in a society since 17 yrs. now since last 2yrs my physical presence has reduced as my father who is staying in a near by sector not able to climb up here my most of stay is with him. However my Ration card Mtnl bills etc bear the same address. also I have not sublet nor paying any non occupency charges.and keep on going there on & off. Now they are not allowing me to park my vehicle inside stating that only members living in soc. can park it. Pl comment.

please clarify as to whether society has allotted you a car parking slot . if you have been allotted car parking slot society cannot discriminate against you merely on grounds that you are not permanently staying in the society premises
generally in cooperative societies detailed guidelines are laid down in the annual general meeting of members for allotment of car parking slot . please address letter to secretary requesting him to give reasons as to why you are not being allowed to park car in society premises.
if reasons given by Secretary are contrary to guidelines laid down in AGM of your society file written complaint with Registrar of Societies

As long as you are owner of apartment and member of the society, you are entitled to benefits applicable to owner/members, including parking of vehicles.
