the house was on my mom's name ,i lost her last year.now my dad wants it to be transfer it to my name. i have two married sisters.

please suggest, what is the process to transfer to my name
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 27 June 2011
If your mother has died intestate then your father has no right to transfer the whole property in your name.

After her death all of you which include you, your father and two sister have equal undivided share 1/4th share in it.

So without the consent and relinquishment of the your sisters , you can not become its absolute owner.

Agree with Mr. Barman. If sisters are ready, ask them to relinquish their rights in your favor. relinquishment deed will be executed by your sisters and your father in your favor then after you will be absolute owner of that house.

I concur Mr. Barman.

Your father and your sisters has to sign a relinquishment deed in your favour, by this you will become the sole owner of the property.
