I do not think any criminal case could be initiated against you . Your involvement with those fraudster ware only with regard to developing or hosting of websites only, not with their business. Your complicity would come only if it could be shown that those websites were developed in such a fashion which could be utilised to cheat the clients and that with your technical assistance.

Yes you will also be booked , since you provided facilities to cheat.Mo escape.

Examples - printing press is booked for printing litrature to cheat., even if he may not be aware.Vigilance is expected.

What you have done is only a consultancy service without any sort of connection with the business of your client. You cannot be made responsible on any basis for the fraud committed by your client. You need not worry. Even if you are unnecessarily entangled in this case, you can approach the High court and get them quashed.

Usage or Mis-usage of any utility rests with the user who needs to take care in the best interests of the society without any malafide intention to cheat. Author has just developed a website which is used for cheating by his client. If you hit and run using a Maruti car, how can the Maruti car manufacturer be charged for criminal conspiracy. Hence I fully endorse the opinion of Barman da and Subbu Sir.
