I had FDR with SBI . I submitted 15 G in time for deducting TDS on my interest income, but inspite bank deduced tax. On my written complaints, they did not reply . Whether I can file case in consumer forum for wrong deduction of TDS.

you cna file complaint for deficency in service but it may take 2 years for any order to

You have both options, as mentioned by Sethi Sir.

First you file the complaint with Ombudsman and if your complaint unresulted than you can file consumer complaint.

You have no case in your favour. bank is duty bound to deduct TDS on payment of FDR amount. You can obtain Form 16 from banker and can get refund by filing your IT return.
