Give legal notice through lawyer and suggesting divorce by mutual consent as best option for the present situation is best action to be taken for now. As far taking action against the friend is concerned that will not be possible for now after section 497 IPC criminal complaint for offence of adultery been abolished by the Supreme Court of India but later in life you'll get other opportunity to settle account with him. Getting out of marriage in an amicable manner is best solution litigation in court on account of all those charges of adultery and cruelty will require a lot of evidence and may not always result in divorce do easily, both time and money waisting exercise.
