False statement

(Querist) 26 June 2013 This query is : Resolved
Dear Expert,

i am working with a PSU Bank. My father in law alligated on me that he came to know that i have already started altering records to disapprove her daughter as wife legally. while i have not done any alteration in any form. now my question is:-

what all are the documents based on which i can disprove her as wife legally?

can i file case of defamation against him because he informed it at my official level by writing a letter there? he also wrote that i should not be transferred to my hometown other wise my family will torture her at my hometown

he also wrote that we have forcefully taken an undertaking from her that in case of her death etc we will not be held responsible.while it is not true.

what all are the action i can take against him legally.

If these are false then you can file defamation case against him.
What is the stand of your wife in this mud slinging?

Mr. Burman is right

You need not to disapprove any allegation on the basis of either of the documents of the bank rather let your father in law prove his allegations.

You can definitely file a defamation case against your father in law.

Dear Experts,

Through mediation in supreme court we both are agree for the mutual consent divorce by paying one time maintenance amount. now my question is:-
Can I file a case of defamation against my father in Law after getting divorce ? becouse if i file defamation case before getting divorce decree on my FIL my wife may frame me in false cases like 498a etc. Please advice

As the divorce shall be the outcome of the mediation then the scope of further filing defamation complaint do not arise. Compromise means forgetting every sin already suffered on either side.
