acceptance of non cts cheque by local sbi branch

Sir recently the sbi branch in our town has closed its local clearing house.since then they are not accepting non cts cheque.as per my knowledge they cant decline to accept non cts cheques.please confirm whether any Rbi notification has permitted them to decline

Various extensions have been given to replace the cheques with CTS2010 compliant cheques.

The notifications should be available in branch with BM and BM is under obligation to show and supply the printed version, on website of the Bank,RBI..............

Clearing of such cheques is with delay. If the drawer of the cheque is not having CTS cheque book he can use RTGS / NEFT for payment which is very fast and the payment is received in a 2-3 hours in the account.
