Yes you and your children have got right over the property of your deceased wife. You are the legal heirs of your deceased wife.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 23 September 2014
You and children, being legal heir in the property of your wife, have right in her property. You can not claim self acquired property till her parents are alive or they propose to sell, gift, will it otherwise.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 23 September 2014
Yes but her inherited properties will revert to her parental side only.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 30 September 2014
Her maika property is referred as the property inherited by her from her parents side, if this is confirmed, then the property rights will be reverted to her parents side only, neither you nor your child can claim a right over it, you may refer to HSA (section 15).
