Before her death it can be transferred by gift deed. And if the will is executed then the property shall be transferred after her death.

It is believed that you are Hindu.
The property in the hands of Grandmother is self acquired/earned/absolute.
Confirm!

A Hindu female can dispose her self acquired/earned/absolute estate in her life time by a valid deed e.g; registered Gift/Sale deed, …………………….valid WILL.
The property is in which state?
It is mandatory to probate the WILL at Presidential towns i.e. Mumbai, Kolkota, Chennai.
If you wish you may look into the charges/time involved for probate.
Some states might have kept such relation under list of ‘Relatives’ and waived off duty/fee etc for gift amongst relatives. You may inquire locally from SRO.

Some experts are very serious to increase no. of posts through vague / unwarranted / irrelevant posts. A good method to increase replies without having legal knowledge
