Dear Sirs,

What is the remedy available in the following case;
1. Social discrimination by same religious & same caste people of other group of peoples/person of same religion and same caste. It is type of social boycott.

2. Not allowing to participate in social activities religious activities.
3. Not allowing worship in temples.

This discrimination has been done by a Patil of village and few of his fellow men of the village.

This Patil is getting the government pension as "Police Patil" by State of Karnataka.

Kindly let me know the legal remedy available, such as provision of CrPC or any other law provide so.

Sir,

Facts;

1.Illegal construction of drinking water tank in private agricultural land sanctioned by government objected by me and some of the other villagers two years back. Demand was to construct the tank at government place where the actual plan passed by government.

2. complained to government authorities (lokayukta) and the matter is also sub judice.

3. The contractor, the land lord in who's farm this tank has been constructed his other family members in the village & Patil of this village has socially boycotted to the people who have objected the illegal construction.

4. In religious functions these peoples are not allowed to participate and also been forbidden from entering the village temple.
5. They are using muscle power and politicized the issue.
6. This Patil is getting the pension from government as "Village Patil".

6. These peoples have approached me for help.
7. Both the groups are of same religion and caste.

So to help them is there any legal provision under which we can file a police complaint.

If the matter is avoided for some time , there are all chances of cooling it down and position may be normalized / would come to previous stage. Any immediate action may start chain of reactions and actions.

However, if you want to proceed, file complaint with the police for forcefully preventing entrance in the temple. Lodge complaint to the distt. authorities against the role of patil causing threat to the law and order in the village. Political assistance may prove useful.
