Dear learned experts,
Can a board of trustee in a charitable institution resign at any point of time during the year due to their personal reasons and commitments or is it only permissible to accept the resignation in the annual general board meeting. In our trust deed we do not see any specific clause about the appointments and resignations of trustees at the Annual General Meeting only. Appreciate your valuable suggestions.

The answer depends on the trust deed and the bye-laws of the society.
Generally, one has the right to resign, subject to the liabilities, if any.

Well advised by experts. You may go through the trust deed and the bye laws for a better answer.
