Owner not giving id proof as supporting documents

Dear Sir,
owner has not given any id proof to support the agreement.for rentals.
He has done on 200 INR agreement and thereafter the same was sent to me for signing.
The same is sent to me for signature.
The issue is when i asked him for the signed xerox of any id proof of the owner- that is required for true copy then he said its not required.
can i make true copy with just original agreement without owners id proof and will it be valid in gas agency, banking,etc.

Check with your gas agency and request your land lord

Sir,
the owner has taken time saying his mom in law is owner and flat signage also says so-just that son in law who is dealing with me says that there is no requirement,so i asked-i have entered the flat,started staying as i had to stay with family after shifting

Get the agreement witnessed from some known person as the agreement was not signed before you by the owner of the premises.

Try to get her identity.

The owner or agent duly empowered by owner can enter into agreement........

It is not necessary that "title holder/owner" should be landlord to execute lease deed/rent agreement with tenant. The executor of lease deed/rent agreement is responsible as agent of principal/owner of the property.
Has any authority/person questioned the agreement or what for do you need ID proof of executor of rent agreement?
However, if you have some reservation leave the site and search for some other property if you have not taken over possession.
