DV and 498a threat

Can wife file domestic violence and dowry case if no dowry has been actually asked and no violence has been done? There is not even a single instance of any violence. Wife keeps asking money for child which I am paying through paytm. Brother calling over phone and threatening to file cases. Wife is also asking 1 lac and messages are there on WhatsApp. She has left home with child since 2 months and in laws are harassing for money.

Filing domestic violence complaint under the PWDV Act, dowry and cruelty complaint u/s 498A etc. IPC is right provided to any wife in the Indian laws, to decide these complaints are correct or wrong if the duty of the court. If these complaints are determined by the court as wrong, and husband is innocent of all charges levied against him, the husband gets a ground of divorce on the basis of cruelty committed by the wife. If the court find husband guilty, he is asked to compensate the wife as provided under the PWDV Act or has to serve punishment as provided u/s 498A etc. IPC.
